In 1954 Blue Star Line took over the
assets of Donaldson Lines Pacific Coast of North America, which included the
Carmia
which became the Victoria
Star, the the Gracia became
the Oregon Star
4 , and lastly the Corrientes which was to become the Oakland
Star, but was disposed of as surplus to requirements. Several Deck
Cadets who were at the time with Donaldson's transferred to Blue Star
Line to complete their cadetship.
