The Balzac was a prime example of the Vestey groups habit of transferring ships between companies and renaming them to suit trades or company names. With the result she was the Trinidad Star, Albion, Balzac, Carroll, Norman Star and Basil. Confusing indeed, not least for those that sailed on her!
