I joined the Fresno as 3rd
trip Cadet in July 1953 and left in December 1953. We carried general
cargo outbound from Liverpool calling at Bridgetown, Port of Spain, La
Guaira, Puerto Cabello, Curacao, Cartagena, Cristobal. Then through the
Panama Canal to Eureka, Raymond, New Westminster, Nanaimo, Vancouver,
Tacoma, Portland, San Francisco, & Los Angeles. Finally back through the
canal to Curacao, La Guaira, London, Newcastle & Liverpool loaded with
timber, grain and canned fruit. The Master was Bob Stark, Ch. Off. Jeff
Reeve, 2nd Off. Dave Thomas, 3rd Off. Tony Cheshire, Chief Eng. J. MacBean
and Radio Off. George Morrison.
