At some point in 1943 the Brisbane Star underwent
temporary repairs at the Argentine Naval Dockyard at
Puerto Belgrano, Argentina,
after being torpedoed on the Malta Convoy. Puerto Belgrano
was and still is the largest naval base of the Argentine Navy. Note the
anti-aircraft guns mounted on the bridge wings and the gun aft.
