  Sold: 1968 to Rapier & Ray Navigation Co., Panama and renamed Defiance  
  Foundered: 28/6/1969 some 270 miles south of Callao, while bound for Antofagasta-Callao

The Vamos was acquired in 1954 for the New York - Brazil service and was ideally sized for operation to Iquitos, being of small size and shallow draft. She also saw service from Montreal to the West Indies and British Guiana.
