  Transferred:  2/02/1989 to Austasia Maritime Private Ltd., (B.S.S.M. Ltd. managers), Singapore and renamed Mahsuri 4  
  Ran aground: 15/09/1990 in position 00.38N 105.08E in the Straits of Malacca causing considerable damage to her hull. She was on a voyage from Fremantle to the Middle East  
  Refloated: 19/09/1990 and towed to Singapore, arriving 20/09/1990 for dry docking and repairs which included the installation of a new crane at No.4 Hatch

One of a class of two self-discharging container ships built for the Australia - New Zealand - Persian Gulf service of Blue Star Line. It was unfortunate that the year they entered service the Iran - Iraq War broke out, effectively halving their intended market in the Gulf. Operation however continued throughout this period, with calls at Muscat, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Kuwait. In 1989 she was transferred to  Austasia Line  for the Far East Service from Australia.
